Heather L. Menne, PhD, is a Senior Research Scientist in the Margaret Blenkner Research Institute of the Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging. Her research explores the theoretical underpinnings of the stress process for individuals with cognitive impairment, family caregivers, and formal caregivers. Her recent work includes ongoing evaluation of the evidence-based "Reducing Disability in Alzheimer's Disease" program in Ohio. Dr. Menne currently serves as President of the Ohio Association of Gerontology and Education, is a reviewer for several international journals. Dr. Menne earned her doctorate in sociology from Case Western Reserve University, her master's degree in gerontological studies from Miami University, and a bachelor's degree from Ripon College.
