Why I Applied to be a Fellow
"The Health and Aging Policy Fellowship (HAPF) is the most prestigious policy fellowship in my research field. I learned about the fellowship through the Gerontological Society of America when the fellowship started, and I was a graduate student. As my research progresses and evolves to encompass policy components beyond scientific knowledge, I know HAPF is the family I seek to be part of. I was most intrigued in understanding how policy agenda is set and how policy decisions are made, and I learned so much from invited speakers, Senate colleagues, and fellow fellows. The immersive experience in Washington, DC is like no other."
