
Kim Bergen-Jackson, PhD, RN-GERO, LNHA, FAAN is a Clinical Associate Professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Iowa. Dr. Bergen-Jackson is also a private consultant for long-term care quality and serves on the Board of Directors at Telligen. She received her PhD in Nursing from the University of Iowa and is a Hartford Foundation Distinguished Educator in Gerontological Nursing. She also serves on the Moving Forward Coalition, Healthy Iowans IA SAIL (Multi-sector Plan on Aging) Access to Care workgroup, and is the current Chair Elect for the Midwest Nursing Research Society (MNRS) Gero RIIG.
Dr. Bergen-Jackson’s career goal is to improve the way older adults are supported and cared for, regardless of their location, and to effect changes on a policy level so that older adults receive a high quality of care and support based on their needs and preferences. She has spent her career investigating how to improve the quality of care received by older adults.
