Dr. Seeun Park is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She holds a PhD in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a BSN from the Catholic University of Korea. Her research interrogates the longitudinal trajectories of health and functional aging among people with long-term physical disabilities, with a particular focus on how structural inequities and social disadvantage accumulate across the life course and shape health outcomes. She approaches disability not as a static identity defined by impairments, but as a dynamic condition that interacts with aging, care systems, and policy contexts in ways that frequently compound marginalization. Grounded in a commitment to disability justice, her work examines how overlapping forms of social exclusion, including social isolation and poverty, influence later-life health. She seeks to inform policy strategies that advance equity, preserve autonomy, and uphold the dignity of people aging with disability across diverse care contexts.
