
Stephen Thielke is a geriatric psychiatrist and health services researcher at the University of Washington, and an investigator in the Geriatric Research, Education, and Clinical Center (GRECC) of the Puget Sound VA Medical Center. His research examines the interactions between physical and mental health during aging, medication safety, and shared decision-making. He has been supported by a Hartford Geriatrics Health Outcomes Research Scholars Award, and a Paul Beeson K23 career development award sponsored by the National Institute of Mental Health. In the GRECC, he serves as Associate Director for Education and Evaluation, and treats Veterans with dementia.
