
Brooke Hollister, PhD, is an Associate Professor and Research Leader of the Center for Care Research, South in Norway; and an Associate Professor in the Institute for Health & Aging at the University of California, San Francisco. Her teaching and research focus on aging health and social policy issues including: mental health, health services research, caregiving and caregivers, long term care, Social Security, Medicare, and Alzheimer’s disease supports and services. She has over 15 years of experience conducting research on aging health and social policy issues, using qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods in community-based participatory research and program evaluation. Dr. Hollister's research funders include the National Institutes of Health, Administration for Community Living, The SCAN Foundation, and the California Department of Public Health. She has been principal investigator on more than 14 grants totaling more than $4 million USD. She has published 13 peer reviewed journal articles and numerous foundation and government reports which have been translated into policy and practice. Dr. Hollister is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the American Society on Aging (ASA).
