Dr. Federman is a Professor of Medicine and Director of Research in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, and Director of a National Institute on Aging-funded T32 post-doctoral research training program on older adults with Alzheimer’s Disease and other high-risk populations. His research focuses on socioeconomic and cognitive factors that affect older adults’ management of their chronic illnesses. Dr. Federman is a primary care physician who serves patients from East Harlem and surrounding communities in Mount Sinai Hospital’s Internal Medicine Associates practice.
