In her current role, Ann McLaughlin leads internal efforts at Winona Health and collaborates with external organizations to develop innovative ways to improve delivery of mental health and post-acute care services. Previous work includes policy advising for a long-term care consulting organization and racial disparities research for projects sponsored by NIA and the MN Department of Human Services.

Ann’s main interests in healthcare policy are increasing access to services in rural communities, decreasing racial disparities in quality of and access to care, and improving nursing home regulations.

Ann holds an MHA degree from the University of Minnesota and a DMA in harp performance and literature from the University of Illinois. Prior to completing her masters, she lived as a harpist-in-residence in a senior living community.
