Amy Abramowitz, MD, is an associate professor and practicing geriatric psychiatrist at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she serves as Program Director of the Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship and Medical Director of the inpatient geriatric psychiatry unit. She also provides care through UNC Neurology’s Aging Brain Clinic and in an integrated geriatric medicine setting. Dr. Abramowitz currently serves as the Chair of the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry (AAGP) Public Policy committee. Her interests include quality improvement, workforce development, and strengthening support for older adults living with mental illness or neurocognitive impairment and their caregivers.
