Hannah Kaufman, PhD, MPH, is an Aging and Disability Policy Research Postdoctoral Fellow with the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She holds a Master of Public Health and PhD in Public Health from the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. For the past decade her work has focused on health equity, social determinants of health, and access to care among vulnerable and marginalized populations. In her graduate research, Dr. Kaufman studied self-perceptions of health and access to health care for older adults in Latin America. Today, she explores the intersections of ageism and ableism, care environments including long-term care and home and community based care and services, and social determinants of health on the health of older adults and people living with disabilities in the United States and Latin America.
