Kris Kaufmann Brown, MSW

Kris Kaufmann Brown holds a B.A. in Social Work with a Certificate in Gerontology, as well as an MSW with a Macro Social Work concentration.  She served as Director of the Comprehensive Services for Older Adults (CSOA) division within the Napa County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) from 2009-2024.  During her tenure, she held responsibility for the County-wide administration and integration of programs and services for older adults and people with disabilities, including Adult Protective Services (APS), Public Health Nursing, In Home Support Services (IHSS), the IHSS Public Authority, Veterans Services, Public Guardian, MediCal for the Aged, Blind, and Disabled, and Older Adult Mental Health.  She has direct practice experience as an APS Social Worker and a case manager for a private professional conservator, and she has also worked in healthcare settings (home health and skilled nursing).

Kris has held leadership positions at the local, regional, and state level, including as co-chair of the Bay Area Social Services Consortium (BASSC) Adult Services Committee for seven years, and as the Adult Services representative on the California Welfare Directors Association (CWDA) Legislative Committee for ten years.  Additionally, she has served on the Board of the Child and Family Policy Institute of California (CFPIC) since 2009.
