Mint Kueakomoldej is a Senior Policy Scientist at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, where she studies payment mechanisms to identify ways to make preventive healthcare accessible to all.
Mint has over ten years of combined experience in clinical nursing, research, and health policy. Prior to her current position, Mint was a Policy Advisor at the Senate Special Committee on Aging, where her portfolio included the Older Americans Act, Social Security, long-term care, and other aging issues. She is also a health services researcher and received her PhD from the Columbia University School of Nursing. Her research examines ways to strengthen the healthcare workforce in shortage and underserved areas.
Mint has clinical experience across community, primary, and acute care settings. She prides herself on conducting research and policy work rooted in real-world needs and continues to practice clinically at the bedside.
