
Aditi Sen received her PhD in health economics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Currently, Aditi is Chief of the Health Policy Studies Unit with the Congressional Budget Office. Previously, she was Director of Research and Policy at Health Care Cost Institute and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health after spending the 2015-2016 academic year in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation at the Department of Health and Human Services. Aditi’s academic research focuses on the organization of health care delivery systems and provider incentive structures and behavior. Broadly, she aims to understand how health care providers respond to changes in policy and to organizational and financial incentives, including applying concepts from behavioral economics to provider payment. In turn, she is interested in implications for how we can make health policies more effective. Aditi previously served on the staffs of the White House Council of Economic Advisers and the Africa Bureau at the U.S. Agency for International Development. She holds an undergraduate degree from Yale University and masters in applied economics from Johns Hopkins.
